Confirmation Preparation/Episcopal Church 101
This course is open to all teens and adults wishing to be confirmed in the Episcopal Church, received into the Episcopal Church (for those already confirmed in the Roman Catholic, Orthodox, or Lutheran Church), or simply learn more about the history, structure, beliefs, and practice of the Episcopal Church.
The course meets for nine sessions over the course of a year, on Sunday mornings between the services (from 9-10AM). Our text for the course is "My Faith, My Life: A Teen's Guide to the Episcopal Church" by Jennifer Gamber. (While accessible to teens, this book is full of solid, substantial information and is utterly suitable for adults as well.) Participants are asked to buy or borrow a copy of the book and read the chapter under discussion prior to each session.
The next opportunity for confirmation and reception into the Episcopal Church at Canterbury will be when our Bishop visits us in June 2016.
For more information, contact Don Partridge or Fritz Frurip.
